Adult Cricket
1st XI
Our 1st XI have been a steadfast presence in the Huddersfield Drakes Premiership for many years, with a notable achievement of being crowned champions as recently as 2013. In the upcoming 2026 season, Wayne Hughes will take on the captaincy, bringing his leadership to the fore. He will be supported by the vast experience of Danny Glover and Tom Chadwick, and the side is further strengthened by the new signing, Ghulam Hussain. We are optimistic for another successful year ahead.
2nd XI
The 2nd XI will once again be captained by Jack Dyson. We place great emphasis on offering our junior players the opportunity to challenge themselves in adult cricket. Teddy Hartley continues as vice-captain, showcasing impressive maturity despite his young age. Over the past couple of years, at least half of the 2nd XI has regularly comprised our own U17 players, with some as young as 13 years old. This commitment to youth development will remain a key focus in 2026.
The experienced heads of Nigel Hoyle & Phil Booth will help the lads get round the field and sprinkle a bit of magic here and there when required!
3rd XI (Sunday League)
Since its inception in 2021, we have supported a Sunday League 3rd XI team. Although the league is competitive, its primary aim is to provide players with the chance to enjoy cricket in a more relaxed environment. For Shepley Cricket Club, the 3rd XI has become another platform to give our talented juniors exposure to the longer format of the game, all while being complemented by experienced cricketers who continue to play for the sheer love of cricket and their desire to remain involved in the sport.

Main shirt sponsors for senior teams are Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust.
The Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust was set up in honor of Jordan Sinnott. Jordan tragically lost his life at just age 25 in 2020. Jordan was a professional football player and sport played a hugely important role in his life. The JSFT was founded by his close friends and family to make sport accessible for those less privileged. They are a grant giving charity and their aim is to provide funding for those who need it the most.
