A disappointing end to a game Shepley looked like winning as the rains came down after thirteen overs of the Scholes innings. Earlier, Tom Denton had shown his quality once again, top-scoring with 74.  Tom was ably supported by Tim Rees, Simon Potter and Phil Heaton in posting a score of 243-7.  Then, for the seventh time this season, the rain had the last word.
